Hi, I'm Sarah Trott, mother of three, wife, San Francisco Bay Area transplant from Sacramento, tech professional, founder and host of Fourth Trimester Podcast.

My journey as a parent led me to seek out parenting information from many accredited perinatal professionals over the years. Many of the conversations I've had with those professionals were recorded and published as freely-available information on the podcast.

With well over 100 episodes, the fourth trimester body of content is a wealth of information, curated to only include information on practices that are baby-friendly, as well as being holistic in terms of providing emotional, social, mental and physical support, and centered on self-care for parents and caregivers.

But it would take well over 100 hours to consume all of that content - I know firsthand that in the middle of a parenting situation that speed is important when seeking the answer to a single or small handful of specific questions.

I created HelloGaia as a way to easily and quickly search through the full body of content from the Fourth Trimester plus additional accredited and trusted sources created by professionals who have been on the program. When an answer isn't found there, the technology falls back onto a set of approved online sources, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While the information shouldn't be taken as medical advice, the fast answers from a trusted set of sources has served well as a curated alternative to general search engines. It's like having hundreds of perinatal professionals represented in a single voice to help answer questions, provide words of encouragement and point to helpful real-world resources.

I hope you find Gaia a helpful and encouraging resource for your own caregiving journey. Sarah xo

I am excited HelloGaia finds not only general information but also resources like 'breastfeeding support for supportive partners.' It’s such an important piece because families/folks are navigating this journey together. I love that HelloGaia provides 3 to 4 concise and practical tips for each topic I search while always emphasizing the importance of reaching out to a pediatrician, lactation consultant, or healthcare provider for personalized guidance. I’m excited about the potential HelloGaia holds to empower and support families during such an important time in their lives.

I love HelloGaia's combination of quick summaries and Learn More suggestions that link to multiple relevant episodes, so I can go right to a deeper dive with no need to scroll through the entire catalog of past episodes. I had a question on postpartum nutrition, got a great high level summary, and then Gaia asked if I wanted recipes and gave me a few easy options that I will definitely come back to. Such a time saver.
